Puerto Galera

Different pictures of Puerto Galera.

Puerto Galera is one of the Provinces of Oriental Mindoro about 130 kilometers South from Manila.

We started traversing this beach about 8 years ago. The first time I looked at it was a bit majestic. I can even compare it to the beaches in Boracay. It’s so raw and solemn. A true escape to the city’s noise and air pollution, and come to think of it, it’s just roughly 30 to 45 minutes from Batangas Port by the boat. Other than that, Puerto Galera is also listed as one of the world’s most beautiful bays.

I took pictures of different resorts in Puerto so you could at least take a sneak peak and study places suited for your next vacation, most of these pictures you can find on our FB Page PeekTravel.

Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera

Here’s a photo taken in White Coral Beach during the tropical storm “Egay”. How ironic it is for us to experience an almost perfect weather in spite of the fact that “Egay” is distressing Manila with heavy winds and rains. Here in Puerto Galera, the thickness of the clouds covered us under the heat of the sun with no rain plus heavy winds, it’ has become a fun experience because the waves are strong and in fact, we enjoyed it. Except of course on the boat travel from Batangas port to this Island, well actually that’s a different story.

Sunvar Beach Resort

And if you want a place that is idealistic as well as to enjoy a peaceful native ambiance.  For lovers or intimate couples alike. Go to Sunvar Beach Resort. Although it’s surrounded with trees, it’s location is not too far from the beach. If you’re looking for more information about Sunvar, I supposed you will get disappointed, I’ve done my research and so far Sunvar remains as secluded as it is on its actual existence. Mindorin Beach Resort

Mindorin Beach Resort

Mindorin Beach Resort is our choice of place to stay. With more than a dozen of us, we needed a lot more rooms to accommodate each one in a more practical way. Plus Mindorin’s got its own bar and restaurant, a veranda facing the swimming pool, and just few walks away there’s the beach on where you could relax under the umbrella cottages and enjoy barbecue grill at the same time. Best of all, it’s near the Police Station so I might say; it’s the safest place to be.

NOTE: Mindorin can often be mistaken for Mindorinne Oriental Beach Resort.

There are plenty of pictures to share but We’d rather reserve the page on our Peektravel Facebook Account for a more complete and detailed browsing. Enjoy Puerto Galera at its best! It’s an economical alternative escape to Boracay.

Feel free to comment or share your own experience . We would love to hear from you.
